I don't think downvotes get attention for anything, exactly the opposite they take attention away, because they are supposed to filter bad questions not questions people disagree with (more) |

That's not what downvotes are for, or should be used, they're purpose is to make good question show up, and poorly written ones be difficult to find, nothing to do with opinion, besides what proposal is there to disagree ? Okay I get that, but following my rationale, I find Codidact, I find Speculative Science, i am a young scientist and make a good question that's interesting and with plenty of applications for daily use, it gets closed for being “off-topic”, I think to myself “Well this sucks...” and move on to find ... Also most current question on that community arent anything to do with World Building, does it not need some kind of clean up ? im saying this because i browsed it today and answered a question and most of them seem not to have anything to do with world building like "how does PVA harden" (more) |
