Comment Post #279497 Can you be more specific about introductory knowledge of blacksmithing? It's practically impossible to build a ship without cutting boards. If they don't know how to smelt iron (or other) they're in trouble.

Comment Post #275788 Would it make any kind of sense to limit Researched Q&A to people who have reached a certain trust level? At that point they should be slightly more familiar with the site and have a better feel for what questions go where.

Question How do we handle imported questions that don't fit the new site?
Some topics may be good for a more general worldbuilding site, but are not appropriate for SpecSci. For example, How can my vampires hide in public? or How can I prevent the creation of fruit-salad chimeras? Should we flag these questions for removal or take another approach?
