How do we handle imported questions that don't fit the new site?

+5
−0

Some topics may be good for a more general worldbuilding site, but are not appropriate for SpecSci.

For example, How can my vampires hide in public? or How can I prevent the creation of fruit-salad chimeras?

Should we flag these questions for removal or take another approach?

I would suggest simply closing them as off topic.

Deleting the questions seems a little heavy-handed for now, but we should indicate to visitors (and people who might want to answer them) that a particular question isn't a good fit for this site's scope.

Absent deletion, the mechanisms that remain are closing and downvoting. In my opinion downvotes should be more for a lack of quality than about scope.

That leaves closing as the most appropriate way to handle those questions.
