From my prior research I understand that there are several ways to remove or destroy proximal (subcutaneous) fat cells:

  • Liposuction (primarily removal)
  • Cryolipolysis (primarily destruction by focal frostbite)
  • Hydrolipoclasy (primarily destruction via saline injection + ultrasound waves combination)

Another way is using radio waves in various frequencies.

The same radio waves I use when I open my radio device to listen to news (although, of course the frequency is different but still what is the mechanism)?

How is this a question about extrapolating from science? I'm no subject matter expert, but to me, it reads like a question about how a real-world medical treatment works in the real world, with no speculative element involved. Could you please edit your question to somehow clarify, emphasize or highlight the speculative element of what you're asking about?

I am not sure myself how feasible this concept is; is it really a real world therapy working for the masses? I don't know. Perhaps this should be put on hold until a more suitable site will be created in the network.

@JohnDoea For this type of question, you might want to chime in on the Medical science site proposal.
