Arctic polar vortex collapse
Is there a real possibility that the Arctic vortex will collapse due to global warming and the melting of the Arctic Ocean sea-ice?

If the possibility is real and it "dies" in the coming decades, is it likely that (preindustrial-like) cold and snowy winters (at least for several decades, until the Arctic Ocean will warm enough) will return to much of Europe?

SO, anthropogenic climate change will warm up the Arctic ocean. This can weaken polar vortex a lot (less temperature gradient between high and low latitudes, so cold air may be the european guest(predominantly Nothern, but I think all the territory north of the Alps, Pirenees and Balkans should feel this) guest way more often. So, this weakening could make atmosphere at winter more distabilised (cold snaps, more storms from the north etc). Summers will be warmer, no doubt. Summers will be warmer. And there will be winters too, but only when the Arctic most of the year will be ice-free, sometime in the late-century. It's only my version of future, I ask the opinions of experts
