Are there tags we should remove from all questions?

+5
−1

When we did the initial import from Worldbuilding SE, we also inherited the tag set from there.

This leaves us with some tags which are (should be) redundant on Scientific Speculation.

I primarily have the science-based tag in mind -- after all, all posts on Scientific Speculation should be based in science -- but there may be others as well.

Are there tags that should be removed globally from the site? Is science-based one of them? Are there others?

I down voted for "lack of research" - that is a short list from you of candidates would be far more helpful, IMO.

@pnuts I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to start a discussion, and aCVn did effectively start a list by suggesting science-based - and honestly, after a week of thinking about this, there aren't really many other tags (particularly meta tags) like science-based that are clearly redundant.

@HDE 226868 I agree (a) a little harsh and (b) no harm in starting a discussion. However I consider "Hey, these look suspect to me, what do you lot think" is much more constructive than "Hey all you lot, each of you read this and then go through and pick out for me all the suspect ones that I haven't even bothered to make a start on."
