Effects of multiple moons on a planet

Judging by our own planet we know what the effects of a moon on a terrestrial planet are. We also know that if a planet has two moons on the same side you would get insane tides and that two moons on opposing sides will cancel each other out resulting in no tides.

My question is what would happen if a world had 3 moons orbiting on different sides, or 4 moons (one on each ''side'') or to jump to the extreme, what if a terrestrial planet had an insane amount of moons like Jupiter with its 79 moons?

P.S. I was asked what my definition of a moon is, so as far as i am concerned a moon in this instance is any natural satellite with a mean diameter between 250 and 6000km
